Gianni Vittorio Armani, CEO of Iren, will leave the multiutility to join Enel, where he was called by the CEO Flavio Cattaneo. Given the curriculum vitae of Armani, who was managing director of Terna Rete Italia, the Group company that deals with the operation, maintenance and development of the electricity transmission grid, a role in the grid is assumed. Enel manages the largest distribution network in the country to which renewable energy producers are connected. Again on the basis of what is found in the Courier On Monday 12 June, the transition to the legal area of ​​Enel of the lawyer Francesco Puntillo, co-head of the Department of Energy and Infrastructures of the law firm Gianni Origoni & Partners, will be made official. Thus begins the reorganization of the largest Italian group after the arrival at the top, exactly one month ago, of Cattaneo in place of Francesco Starace.

The reorganization of the structure

The reorganization should also concern the structure, with the unification of some divisions. A board of directors meeting is scheduled for Monday 12 June with the formation of committees on the agenda, among other things. As regards the post of CEO of Iren, the decision lies with the Municipality of Genoa, a shareholder of the multi-utility together with the Municipalities of Turin and Reggio Emilia. In the meantime, the president of Iren Luca Dal Fabbro could assume the responsibilities of Armani together with the vice president Moris Ferretti.
