Elly Schlein’s new Democratic Party secretariat: 10 women and 10 men

There are 20 members of the secretariat of the Democratic Party launched by Elly Schlein, with absolute gender equality, given that there are ten women and ten men. Among these, Marta Bonafoni will be the coordinator, Peppe Provenzano at Foreign Affairs, Sandro Ruotolo at Information and Culture, Antonio Misiani at Economy, Alessandro Zan at Rights, Debora Serracchiani at Justice. The new secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein announced the new positions of the political secretariat live on her Twitter profile. «A solid and prepared team, with renewal and specific skills», said Schlein. And again: «It’s never easy to make choices, this is just the beginning, the composition of a very solid team prepared for the challenges that await us. I will not fail to identify ways to re-evaluate all the skills».

By right, the coordinator of mayors and regional secretaries will also be in the secretariat. The spokeswoman for the Democratic conference and the representative of the young dem are permanently invited.

Alongside the secretariat, other structures: “We are building a series of thematic departments – said Schlein – such as that of sports policies, where Mauro Beruto will be there”. On the digital transition and big data, the department will be in Annarosa Pesole. Other departments already announced that against all barriers: architectural, physical, cultural; Jacopo Melio will take care of it.

Giovanni Gaspare Righi will be head of Schlein’s secretariat and Flavio Alivernini will be the party’s communication manager as well as spokesperson.
