Rome turns right: only 2 single-member constituencies out of 12 in the center-left

Rome wakes up on the right. In the 12 challenges of the single-member constituencies, nine in the Chamber and three in the Senate, ten went to the coalition led by Giorgia Meloni and two to the center-left. To resist the advance were the new deputies Paolo Ciani, elected in central Rome, and Roberto Morassut, who won by a whisker at the Ardeatino-Tuscolano. For the center-right will enter the Senate Lavinia Mennuni (won the challenge against Emma Bonino and Carlo Calenda), Giulia Bongiorno and Ester Mieli. In the Chamber will sit Simonetta Matone, Fabio Rampelli, Antonio Tajani, Alessandro Palombi, Alessandro Battilocchio, Federico Freni and Luciano Ciocchetti, who enters against the dem Claudio Mancini (for him probable entry, however, with the plurinominal lists).

In the senate the defeat that makes the most noise is that of Emma Bonino, candidate in the Lazio u02 college. The radical leader, supported by the entire center-left, reached 33.2%, while Lavinia Mennuni of Fratelli d’Italia won 36.4%, thus earning the pass for Palazzo Madama. To allow the victory of the center-right were the results of Carlo Calenda, who received 14% of the preferences, and Alessandra Maiorino of the M5S at 11.3%. For the leader of Action the doors of parliament will open thanks to the repechage in the multi-member lists.

At the Lazio u04 college, Monica Cirinnà, a candidate among a thousand controversies, was defeated by Ester Mieli. The exponent of the Democratic Party had 31% of the votes against 37.4 of the center-right candidate.

In the Lazio u03 boarding school Giulia Bongiorno almost reached 40% of the votes.

Roberto Morassut, Candidate of the Democratic Party in the college between Tuscolano and Ardeatino, is celebrating in the room, who by about a thousand votes won the challenge with Maria Teresa Bellucci of Fratelli d’Italia, who finished 35.12% to 34.64%.

The center-left also won the college of central Rome with Paolo Ciani, a leading exponent of the Community of Sant’Egidio, with 38.42%.
In the u02 college, which includes the III and IV municipalities, the magistrate of the Lega Simonetta Matone won by about 4 thousand votes over Enzo Foschi of the Democratic Party.

Fabio Rampelli, vice president of Zamera and candidate of FdI, made his fill of preferences in the suburbs, obtaining 43.13%.
