ECB, Gentiloni, oppositions: Meloni’s shouts open the electoral campaign

In the early morning there is a Meloni 1, old-fashioned. It stings the ECB (“I defend its independence, but politics can express evaluations”). She returns to the little-loved Mes (“discussing it now is not in Italy’s interest”). The decibels in Montecitorio rise. And the premier, beyond the blue suit, seems anything but a fairy. She screams, she heats up. The Fratelli d’Italia curve – with the addition of Forza Italia’s cousins – stands up. She peels her hands. Once, twice, three times. Meloni offers the best of himself in replies to the opposition. He puts them all in line. Citing them by name: colleague Provenzano, honorable Boldrini (“I do not accept lessons on autocracies from those who went hand in hand with communist Cuba and with all the other dictatorships of today”), and you colleague Fratoianni. Close your eyes, the electoral campaign for the European elections has begun.
