Support passes to the executive on the green light for the construction of the Messina Bridge: 206 yes, 124 against and 5 abstentions. Tomorrow the final vote on the text

With 206 votes in favour, 124 against and 5 abstentions, the Chamber gave the go-ahead for the trust in the Government placed on the bridge. The text was not approved, because the final vote is scheduled for tomorrow morning. After that, the bill will go to the Senate for final approval. It owes its name to the inclusion, in the text, of the rules for the construction of the bridge over the Strait between Messina and Reggio Calabria.

It was an expected appointment because last April 27, when the Def was to be approved, the majority had gone under, due to the numerous absences of the MPs from Lega, Forza and Fratelli d’Italia. On that occasion, Prime Minister Meloni expressed her disapproval of how inattentive the groups had been to the work in the Chamber. In short, today the parliamentarians had a surplus of anxiety and expectations on their side to account for. But in the end the government won the trust, without problems.
