Davide Ghiotto gold in the 10000m, a blue world champion in speed skating

One gold in speed skating was missing from the winter sports medal collection this year: it has arrived. At the World Championships in Heerenven, in the temple of Dutch speed skating, in the country that loves and practices this sport the most, David Ghiotto won the 10,000 meters. Still improving on last year, when she won the bronze medal at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, followed by silver in the 5000m at these World Championships.

At that point Ghiotto continued to increase his pace, dropping below 30”, with an unstoppable progression that led him to break the Italian record: 12:41.35.
