Cutting the highest tax wedge, “starting in May”
«We are working so that it can be valid from the month of May. So it is likely that it will arrive by the end of the month (April, ed)”. According to Federico Freni, Undersecretary for the Economy, interviewed by Radio 24, the decree on the tax wedge should come to life as early as next week. And thus make use of the approximately 3.4 billion euros that the government has managed to collect in the folds of the public accounts and which, as announced in the Def, will therefore be destined for the new intervention on the tax wedge in favor of workers with average incomes -low, both public and private, for the period from May to December 2023.
