Councilor of Lissone Scaffidi: “I have more gay friends than normal”

“I have more gay friends than normal.” You made the web unleash the declarations made by the councilor of Fratelli d’Italia Felicia Grazia Scaffidi at the city council of Lissone, in Brianza, on 22 June last.
“I do not accept being called homophobic by Luca de Vincentis, I have more gay friends than perhaps you, I’m sorry but that’s exactly how I treat them as I treat any other able-bodied person”, the councilor initially said to a colleague of the Vivi Lissone list, which had presented the motion on joining the charter of intent of the Ready network, the Italian network of Regions, Autonomous Provinces and Local Authorities committed to preventing, combating and overcoming discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

According to Scaffidi, the Ready network “serves to bring money to LGBT associations to organize projects inside and outside schools to propagate transgender theories”. After defining heterosexuals as “able-bodied”, given the insurrection of the opposition, Scaffidi apologised: “Sorry, straight people. I can also be a little excited and angry.” She then the gaffe that she made the rounds of social media, she said to silence Vivi Lissone’s colleague. “Actually, I have more friends who are gay than normal.”
