“I have no opposition” to the fact that a relationship with the Democratic Party “grows and strengthens on battles and common ground”, but specifies: “To think of an organic alliance now seems out of place to me”. The leader of the M5S, Joseph Contehost of Bruno Vespa at the ‘Forum in Masseria’ in Manduria he was categorical: “I am against organic alliances. We are interested in objectives, projects, political trajectories”. Therefore, there is no space for the hypothesis of a “wide field”: “It is a formula that does not exist. Here it is a question of making intransigent opposition in a serious way, rather than voting, as some forces do which claim to be opposition, with the government and so from this point of view we are interested in offering a different vision of the country”.

The former prime minister then did not spare a jab at the Pd secretary, precisely on an issue that is stirring up the waters for the Nazarene, that of arms for Ukraine: “I note that we are not on the war, I see no breakthroughs. There are still dissonances as well as on ecological transition”. And he adds: “I trust that there can be a turning point, because up to now the Democratic Party continues on the warlike line, obviously when it comes to concretely voting on the various provisions”.

In the morning the minister had intervened at the farm Raffaele Fitto, with which the issue of the Pnrr was addressed. “But is it credible to say that a plan born two years ago, in the last 6 months has had everything that represents a great delay, as if there was no before or a comparison with other European countries?”, he asked provocatively, adding then: “In addition to a general criticism of delays on the Pnrr” I would like “a specific one to open” on individual issues “and on the facts” and thus “a useful debate could be opened for our country”. Conte’s reply: “The delays are objective and it is not possible to understand the arrogance of this government which does not want to accept even a confrontation. It has not deigned us to answer. Our appeal has fallen on deaf ears”.
