The Melonian deputy intervenes in the debate on the disputed decree law and argues: “This rule can be applied to occupied public or private buildings”.

The decree law on safety, the so-called anti-rave, will have to be modified, has given rise to many interpretations and stakes will have to be put in place. But in the meantime it is Federico Mollicone, Melonian deputy of Fdi, who wanted to give his interpretation by pointing the finger at the occupied buildings. These include a historic building in the center of Rome, the “Spin Lab”, in the Esquiline, where one hundred and fifty families live and where cultural events are organized. Mollicone says: «This rule can rightly be applied to public or private occupied buildings as happens in Rome, the capital of Italy of the mayor Gualtieri. I am thinking of the historic center, of the Esquiline, where there is the Spin Lab, where they held the New Year’s Eve parties for a fee, for profit, without security measures, three floors underground ».

Meeting with the trade unions

Federico Mollicone does not mention for the properties to be cleared another building in the Esquiline, Casapound, occupied for twenty years by members of the extreme right. Meanwhile, this afternoon, the Minister of the Interior Piantedosi will receive the general secretaries of CGIL, CISL and UIL, Maurizio Landini, Luigi Sbarra and Pierpaolo Bombardieri on the decree on which the political clash has raised a lot of controversy. It was precisely Piantedosi who, as prefect of Rome, had drawn up the list of occupied properties to be cleared and had included both Spin Time and Casapound in the list.
