The negotiations for the renewal of the contract for ceramics and tiles have started. Confindustria Ceramica met in Rome with the trade unions, Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl, Uiltec Uil to start the dialogue involving 25,000 workers. In their demand platform, the unions have asked for an overall increase of 260 euros for the three-year period, which represents the heart of the requests, among which there is also an improvement in allowances, rights, work organization, including the classification system with an indication of the new professional figures.
To frame the context in which the negotiations are taking place, Confindustria Ceramica has provided the other party with economic, production and employment data in the sector. For the unions, at this stage, there is a need “for an agreement that defends the purchasing power of wages, in the face of the huge increases that have impacted the payroll of male and female workers”.
The next plenary session has already been scheduled for 23 October.
