Case Donzelli, secret hearings to the Jury of honor. Serracchiani: “Let it be clear”

“I expect some light to be shed on a statement that led to this Jury and therefore evidently there is something to verify”. This was stated by the leader of the Democratic Party in the Chamber, Debora Serracchiani, heard by the Jury of honor established after the statements in the Chamber on 31 January by the Fdi deputy and vice president of Copasir, Giovanni Donzelli, against colleagues of the Democratic Party Serracchiani, Silvio Lai and Andrea Orlando and the senator, also from the Democratic Party, Valter Verini, for their visit to Alfredo Cospito in prison. Verini has asked to be heard but it is the first time, according to what has been learned, that a senator has been heard by a jury of honor from the other branch of Parliament.

At 12 the hearing of Lai, followed by that of Orlando and in the afternoon, by Donzelli himself. The commission is chaired by the vice president of the Chamber, Sergio Costa, of the 5-star Movement, and composed of Roberto Giachetti, of the Third Pole, Alessandro Colucci, of Noi Moderati, Anna Maria Patriarca, of Forza Italia, and Massimo Cecchetti, of the League.
