Cardini defends “the boys of Salò” on TV, the clash between historians explodes from Genoa

“You can continue to collaborate with Franco Cardini?”: after the intervention of the historian at “Otto e mezzo”, on the evening of 25 April, a case opens on the “History in the square”, the prestigious national event organized every year, since 2010, at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa and curated by Cardini himself with Luciano Canfora. To raise the question is Antonio Gibelliformer full professor of Contemporary History at the University of Genoa, and director of the homonymous department, as well as being one of the first curators of the review – together with the English historian Donald Sassoon – which was the first born as an opportunity for the dissemination of history among a large public, starting with a broad involvement of young people, and with very high scientific rigor.
