In what is by now an obligatory virtuous path for the most important boat builders, increasingly on the hunt for specialized and talented personnel at every level, the role of the Cantiere del Pardo, leader in the production and marketing of sailing boats under the Grand Soleil Yachts brand and motor boats under the Pardo Yachts and VanDutch Yachts brands. Focusing on the territory to enhance its excellence and cultural initiatives and, at the same time, ensure the continuity of internal skills, the group – in collaboration with CNA and the University of Bologna – has promoted a course for for the nautical supply chain, expert in the production process and in the economic impact of the sustainable product” which aims to train resources to be dedicated to production.

The course, now in its third edition, has allowed in previous editions to place some profiles that have been employed within the group based in Forl, close to celebrating its 50th anniversary. Alongside this course, an “Academy” of 60 hours in total was also launched, supported by Adecco, for the training of figures to be included in the production workforce such as carpenters, fiberglass workers and mechanics. The first session involved 11 participants, 7 of whom were immediately hired at the end of the course.

The company’s focus is not only on acquiring new skills, but also on rewarding active employeesincentive systems have been used which entitle them to bonuses payable through the Welfare platform, which, for the nautical year that ended last August, will produce an average increase per employee of 20% compared to the previous year. Cantiere del Pardo – comments the CEO, Fabio Planamente – has always been aware of the value of its resources, the same ones that year after year have made it possible to give continuity to the production of our boats and to guarantee ever higher quality standards. The enhancement of skills for us is a fixed point on which we are working both towards current employees and looking to the future and to the very territory in which we operate. In fact, we intend to sponsor local cultural and sporting initiatives precisely to demonstrate our attachment and to make a contribution to its strengthening.
