Calenda convenes the Political Committee of the Third Pole. We go towards the count: the break is closer

The appointment is at 18.30, when the Political Committee of the Third Pole will be held (which brings together the heaviest names of Action and IV) “for discussion and vote on the proposed constitution of the single party”. The document deals with the main issues that led to the clash between Renzi and Calenda: from financing to the dissolution of the parties, in view of the new (now difficult) political formation. In particular, alongside the guarantees of democratic nature of the federation process, the rules of engagement and representation, it states that “Azione and IV will transfer 70 percent of the sums received from the 2 per thousand starting from the second installment of 2023 to the new party , until the dissolution of the parties which must take place within the first quarter of 2025”.

A completely different story from the one told by the leader of Action, who has repeatedly invited his colleague not to confuse politics and information, evoking the risk of a “conflict of interest”.

Difficult, in short, to find a square with these assumptions. This can also be understood from the fact that this morning Calenda returned to relaunch the membership in Action (a few days ago, however, Italy was alive to announce a similar mobilization). But not only. Because interviewed by Corriere, the former Minister of Technological Development wanted to further clarify all his discontent. “I have the impression that Renzi wants to block everything up to the Europeans by delaying every decision and then we will see him waiting for the knight’s next move. Our project cannot depend on a person who does something else 90 percent of the time,” he attacked, emphasizing his willingness to go ahead, even alone, in building “the house of reformists”.
