Brothers of Italy tighten on the exits of the parliamentarians. Foti: "We need coherent communication"

Brothers of Italy tightening on the communication of parliamentarians. It is the meaning of a message delivered in chat to the elected representatives of FdI and signed by the group leader in the Chamber Thomas Foti. The goal – we read – is to “avoid the diffusion of positions relating to issues on which it was decided not to intervene”.

Therefore, reduce spontaneous exits to the bone. And above all not in line with the address of the government presided over by the president of the party: Giorgia Meloni. An objective softened by the following formula: “Encourage the development of coherent communication”, reads the request put in black and white by Foti. A suggestion, that of the group leader, which sounds more like a warning regarding any ‘inconvenient’ exits of the elected officials.

The solution, therefore, would be to centralize communication, asking MPs – even those with their own staff – to always go to the group’s press office before issuing press releases or statements to be released to the press. For this reason it is recalled that “the Brothers of Italy parliamentary group has a press office, headed by Donatella Di Nitto, available to deputies who intend to use it”.

From FdI they underline that the message does not represent any tightening, rather a sort of reminder. It is a pity that in the clarification itself it is made known that the objective is the same as indicated in the chat: to avoid forward escapes.
