Vittorio Sgarbi also opens up to the possibility that part of the statues found in San Casciano dei Bagni are brought to Florence for restoration. The Undersecretary of State for Culture has decided that he will give his “consent for some of the 24 bronze statues to be restored at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence”. An opening that follows the desired involvement of the Opificio by the mayor Nardella and the director general of the museums of the Ministry of Culture Massimo Osanna. «I have collected part of the considerations expressed by the mayor of Florence Dario Nardella – explained Sgarbi -. There is no arm wrestling. The Ministry and the Municipality will find an agreement that reconciles the different needs taking into account the assessments of the Central Institute of Restoration in Rome ”.
