Biden and Meloni will meet in Bali next week

Giorgia Meloni will have a face to face with Joe Biden at the G20 in Bali next week. The confirmation arrives at the White House, a few days after the Prime Minister’s departure for her first major international summit.

There has already been a telephone conversation with the American president, on the day of the first vote of confidence in the government in the House. The two had arranged to meet for an in-person meeting on the occasion of the event in Indonesia. Now comes the official confirmation of the Americans: “The G20 will be an opportunity for Biden to sit down for the first time with the newly elected prime ministers of Great Britain and Italy”, announces US security adviser Jake Sullivan in a briefing with the press. The ‘format’ of the meeting or the exact date is not yet known. But the interview is likely to take place between 14 and 15 November.
