The Next Generation Eu plan is the most tangible and unprecedented expression to date of a European Union capable of looking at itself as a a community truly free from internal physical and cultural borders and marked by a common and shared destiny. Exactly for this reason, its implementation today requires an additional effort of seriousness and transparency on the part of all member states. The debate underway these days on the timing and ways of implementing our National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr) is therefore not idle or useless. Nor can it and must be reduced to one of the many examples of small political controversy that we strive never to miss. In this sense, the government’s decision to report to Parliament – and consequently to the country – on the same issues is exemplary.
