Basketball, Trieste point guard Corey Davis positive for cocaine

The National Anti-Doping Tribunal, in accepting the request proposed by the National Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office, suspended the Trieste point guard as a precautionary measure Corey Davis “for the violation of article 2.1 (substance found: cocaine metabolite: benzoylecgonine). The check was carried out by NADO Italia”. The news was also reported by Davis’ team, the Trieste Basketball which “is awaiting the outcome of the counter-analysis, reserving any evaluation as soon as the episode is clarified”. Davis was on the field last Sunday in the home game against Varese: for him the season record for points (27). In the complicated season of the Giuliana team Davis is among the most employed players (31 minutes on average). Coach Legovich obviously kept him out of the midweek away game on the Sassari field. The American point guard is in his second season on the Adriatic coast. He had previously played in Türkiye, France and Montenegro.
