On the currency side, the euro is worth 1.0788 dollars (yesterday at 1.0705 dollars) and 149.81 yen (149.71), while the dollar/yen cross is at 139.87 (139.85). After yesterday’s leap, the value of gas dropped by 1%, settling at 26 euros per megawatt hour (-0.11%). Finally, the price of crude oil rises: the July wti is equal to 72.81 dollars per barrel (+0.32%).

Asian bags

The Chinese stock markets closed the session in contrast: the Shanghai Composite index gained 0.49%, to 3,213.59 points, while that of Shenzhen lost 0.15% and stood at 1,992.33.
