ASviS, the Sustainable Development Festival kicks off - Live video

The annual appointment with the Sustainable Development Festival, which will be held from 8 to 24 May 2023 throughout Italy, online and abroad. The Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), which brings together over 320 organizations from the economic and social world, organizes the Festival together with its Adherents and with the support of Partners and Tutors, over a span of 17 days, as many as Sustainable development goals envisaged by the UN Agenda 2030.

The seventh edition of the Festival of Sustainable Development takes place at a crucial moment for the definition of the economic, social and environmental policies of our country. In fact, the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr), the design of the new interventions envisaged by RepowerEU and above all the definition of the territorial policies financed by the European funds for cohesion 2021-27 will mark the future of Italy up to 2030 For this, it is essential to ensure full alignment of national and regional policies with the objectives set by the European Union for the ecological and digital transition, the reduction of inequalities, the strengthening of competitiveness and the strengthening of social cohesion.

The territories in particular represent the main actor from which the transition towards a more sustainable model must be conveyed, promoting policies that take into account the environmental, social, economic and institutional spheres that can lead the country from below towards the goals set by the Agenda 2030 with the active support of civil society and the private sector.

Today at 3 pm live from Naples the opening event to be followed in streaming ASviS will host a discussion between representatives of local institutions, in particular of the Regions and Cities, together with representatives of the Government and the European Commission and important economic stakeholders , to jointly design strategies that ensure the coherence of national and territorial policies and private sector strategies for sustainable development, as well as highlight good practices and results achieved.
