Armed forces, new age limits: competitions up to 40 years, 5,000 hires are on the way

The bill
Raise the mandatory age for entry into the armed forces, so as to allow more citizens to participate in competitions. This is the objective behind the bill being worked on by the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, eithe chairman of the Defense Committee in the Chamber, Nino Minardo, that also the first signatory. A solution that would allow thousands of unemployed people to pursue a military career, join the police, carabinieri or fire brigade. The law, which is already ready to be presented to the Chamber commission in a few days, in detail, provides for the expansion of the age range of participation, and therefore of possible hiring, for the agreement of officers and non-commissioned officers.
