This is the objective of the memorandum of understanding signed between the general commander of the Guardia di Finanza Giuseppe Zafarana and the director of the agency for territorial cohesion Paolo Esposito, in the presence of the Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion Mara Carfagna.

The agency will make available to the special component of the Corps qualified information that the latter, due to its functions and consolidated skills, will be able to develop in order to develop risk analyzes and reduce the positions characterized by the most significant hazard profiles to the operating units. on the territory, for the execution of targeted interventions.
This collaboration will make it possible to further enhance the prerogatives of the Guardia di Finanza, as an economic-financial police force, specialized, among other things, in the activities of combating fraud, embezzlement and waste of public money.

The partnership takes on even greater importance in this particular moment, when we consider the leading role attributed to the agency for Cohesion also in relation to the resources of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The Agency, in fact, is directly involved, as issuer and manager of calls for tenders, in the implementation of mission no. 5, focused on inclusion and cohesion, and at the same time it is called, on the basis of what is governed by the Legislative Decree 77/2021, to carry out, in support of the Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion, inspection and monitoring tasks to verify compliance with the schedule and objectives of the plan.
