The Minister of Infrastructure doesn’t like how his workhorse, the bridge over the Strait, is represented in The bad guy, the new Amazon Prime TV series

Matteo Salvini, Minister of Infrastructure in the Meloni government, is not in it. It doesn’t matter that the bridge over the Strait, one of its warhorses in the electoral campaign, is taken a little seriously. Not even at the cinema. In fact, he writes on Twitter: «In one new Amazon TV series, yet another stereotype of bad taste about Italy and the Sicilian people: after its construction, the bridge over the Strait collapses because the construction had been entrusted to companies linked to mafia clans. We can no longer accept insults and offenses against our country in silence. Italy has always created engineering masterpieces inside and outside its borders: the bridge will be yet another example of Italian genius in the world. Willing is power.”

The tv series

The TV series indicted by Salvini is The bad guy
which debuted on Prime Video on December 8, directed by Giancarlo Fontana and Giuseppe G. Stasi. The production is Italian.

The story goes like this: a Sicilian magistrate fighting against the mafia is falsely accused of colluding with a mafia boss and then looks for a lookout. Among the protagonists are Luigi Lo Cascio and Claudia Pandolfi.
