Amplifon enters as main partner in the Next Age accelerator, specialized in investments in startups and solutions dedicated to the Silver Economy, the economy of the third age. Next Age is part of the National Network of Cdp Venture Capital Accelerators, which today has 18 centers in Italy aimed at promoting and supporting the development of young companies specialized in markets with high growth potential. In particular, it is estimated that the sector of products and services dedicated to the over 50 population will reach a value of 5,700 billion euros by 2025, equal to a third of European GDP.

The role of AmplifonX

The initiative will allow Amplifon to come into contact and collaborate with new Italian and international startups operating in the Silver Economy, particularly in the hearing care sector, as well as to have a privileged observatory on new technologies and new business models in the sector. At the same time, the Italian company, but with activities in 25 countries, will bring its experiences and skills in innovation at the service of the Silver Economy to the programme. Our entry into Next Age – explains Enrico Vita, CEO of Amplifon – is part of the innovation path that we have undertaken for some years to leverage digital technologies and data to offer our customers an increasingly personalized service, developing the best experience multichannel. In this path, collaborations with innovative realities are fundamental: it was precisely from the meeting between an Italian startup, OtoHub, and our digital division that we set up AmplifonX last year, our internal startup in which we have planned investments of 150 million euros in period 2022-2024.

What is Next Age

Next Age born on the initiative of Cdp Venture Capital, of AC75 StartUp Accelerator, the accelerator promoted by the Marche Foundation together with the Cariverona Foundation and the Marche Polytechnic University, and the international venture capital company SOSV, which manages development programs for startups in the initial. It is based in Ancona and has a three-year program which provides for the selection of around 10 seed and pre-seed start-ups each year, which will have access to a structured course lasting four months, significant investments and the support of the partners of the accelerator, to be guided towards the validation of your business model.
