After his rhetorical question, the Knight’s eldest daughter launches a very hard lunge against the robes:
“No, unfortunately that’s not the case. She waited just a month after his disappearance,
the Florence prosecutor’s office, to resume the hunt for Berlusconi undaunted, with the most delusional accusation, that of mafia. While in the country the conflict between the judiciary and politics is more alive and violent than ever”.

And then: «We are stuck in an absurd game, which forces us to an eternal return to the starting square – continues the outburst of Fininvest’s number one -. It is a disheartening feeling, because it seems that every reform hypothesis becomes a reason for head-on confrontation, regardless of its contents. For Marina Berlusconi, this “is a story that sees even a small part of the judiciary transform itself into an untouchable caste and a political subject, aimed only at tarnishing real or presumed opponents. This is how certain prosecutors totally reverse the path that the search for truth should follow. They start from a theorem, however bizarre, and adapt the reality of the facts to this, even distorting it, to demonstrate the validity of the theorem itself. That in the end this does not find the slightest response matters little ».

The Cavaliere’s eldest daughter then recalls that “the accounts of Fininvest have been sifted for years without result: there are still prosecutors and journalists who insist on the thesis, absurd, illogical, much more than defamatory, according to which my father is the instigator of the mafia massacres of 1993-94». And then: «But can anyone really believe that Silvio Berlusconi ordered the Cosa Nostra to unleash death and destruction to facilitate its entry into the field in January 1994? And is it credible, then, that he built one of the main companies in the country using mafia capital? I know very well the man who was my father, his horror of all forms of violence, his deep consideration for every single person, no one knows better than me how the ability to love and the desire to be loved were the essence of his life”.
