After the election of Elly Schlein, the political system has reached a further point of clarity. On the left, the political line of the Democratic Party and the 5 Star Movement has definitively unified, while on the right there is only Giorgia Meloni with a couple of more or less swollen spare wheels. With the defeat of Stefano Bonaccini, an entire ruling class of good local administrators in the north was also lost, the last remnant of pragmatic reformism existing in the Democratic Party. Their victory would be the real news. Instead, together with Schlein, Bettini, Zingaretti, Orlando, Franceschini, Concita De Gregorio and Michela Murgia won. Not a big news of the ruling class, political line or thought. What will the Third Pole do after the election of Elly Schlein? The answer is: what he did before. We will build the single party of popular, liberals and reformists, reunifying ruling classes and voters who have been divided with the ax of bipolarity. I do not expect an exodus of deputies from the Democratic Party and I do not hope for one from Forza Italia. Instead, the local administrators are another thing, the only ones who have contact with the territory and with the voters, who have been arriving for some time.
