A funeral home for Frattini, the funeral tomorrow at the Basilica of the Holy Apostles

Three ex-Presidents of the Council and several other politicians paid tribute to Franco Frattiniwho died on December 24, at the funeral home set up today, from 11 to 19, at Palazzo Spada, seat of the Council of State of which he was president.
The funeral will be held tomorrow, at 11.30, in the Basilica of the Holy Apostles, in Rome. They will be celebrated by the cardinal John the Baptist King.
Frattini was a deputy from 1996 to 2004 with Forza Italia, and again from 2008 to 2013 with the PdL, foreign minister in the Berlusconi II (2002-2004) and Berlusconi IV (2008-2011) governments and European commissioner for justice and internal affairs in the Barroso I commission.
The ex premiers turned up today to pay homage to him Lamberto Dini, Massimo D’Alema and Julian Amato. Among other politicians, the Minister of Economic Development Adolfo Urso, Maurice Gasparri, Renato Bunetta, Gianni Lettawho recalled that it was Frattini himself who welcomed him when Letta arrived for the first time as undersecretary to the Prime Minister with Silvio Berlusconi. A wreath of flowers from Palazzo Chigi also went to the funeral home.
