The Revenue Agency is strengthening its ranks and is looking for about 4,500 new officials. A notice from the agency indicates that the competitions will be launched this year, in line with the three-year staffing needs plan. The profiles sought are those of an official for tax activities and an official for real estate advertising services. The overall program, indicated by the director of the Revenue Agency, Ernesto Maria Ruffini, in recent months of 11,000 hires by the end of 2024, of which around 6,000 this year. These inputs, after years of cuts and spending reviews, would allow the Agency to pass the buoy of survival, according to the director.

For civil servants, valid diplomas and a three-year law degree

To access the new competitions as an official, at least a three-year degree in law or (but only in the case of tax officials) in economics and political science is required. The tax officials are responsible for the activity; in tax matters, from assistance to users on obligations up to the elaboration of forms and the activity of analysis and research of illegal phenomena. The tests to select them will start from tax law and tax theory elements. Among the subjects examined there will also be civil and commercial law, administrative law, corporate accounting and elements of criminal law, with particular reference to crimes with the public administration and tax crimes.

The profiles of real estate advertising services officials

A different profile is that of officials for real estate advertising services, who take care of the real estate registers which allow to trace the ownership of the assets and the possible presence of weights or constraints that limit their enjoyment, such as mortgages for example. Their tasks include, among other things, assistance and advice to users and the updating and maintenance of databases. In this second case, the competitions will deal with topics of civil law, administrative law, elements of civil procedural law, elements of tax law and elements of criminal law.
