Banca Ifis approved the preliminary results for 2022 which saw the group’s share of net profit rise to 141.1 million euro, up 40.3% compared to the 100.6 million euro of 2021. The bank also revised upwards the guidance of the net profit for 2023, now expected at 150 million euros compared to the 137 million euros foreseen in the 2022-2024 Business Plan. The profit target envisaged in the Business Plan for 2023 is therefore achieved one year in advance.

Dividend of 1.40 euros

In the light of the results achieved, the board resolved to propose to the Shareholders’ Meeting the distribution of a balance of the dividend for the 2022 financial year equal to 0.40 euro (gross of legal withholdings) for each Banca Ifis share issued and in circulation. In November 2022, the interim dividend for the 2022 financial year had already been distributed, equal to 1 euro per share. The total dividends for the 2022 financial year therefore amount to a total of 1.40 euro per share. The balance of the 2022 dividend will be paid with ex-dividend date May 22, 2023 and payment date May 24, 2023.

The analysis of the results

This result – explains Ernesto Frstenberg Fassio, president of Banca Ifis – rewards a path in which we have continued to invest in our people; teamwork, which combined with the new governance processes and sustainability, has allowed us to create profit, also generating a positive impact for the territories and communities in which we operate. In 2022 – adds the CEO Frederik Geertman – Banca Ifis recorded strong growth in all the main economic-financial and industrial indicators. With a 2022 net profit of 141.1 million euro, up 40% compared to 2021, the Bank exceeded, one year ahead of schedule, the 2023 profit target envisaged in the Business Plan, equal to 137 million euros. This is a performance that represents an all-time high for our bank.
