Zibì Boniek proves to be super even in horse racing: in Capannelle he wins in the gentlemen category

A passion he had since he was a child which then developed into adulthood and became something more than a passion especially coinciding with his arrival in the capital. Zbigniew Boniek, 66 years oldglory of Polish football and of Juventus and Rome where he played for a total of six seasons, confirms that he also excels in the world of horses. First as stable owner, then as gentlemen driver.

In Capannelle Boniek led his horse in the first race of the program on Wednesday. A ‘team’ victory, given the obvious importance of the horse but also the need for the driver to know how to make the right choices at the right moment. However, Boniek does not represent a novelty in the relationship between football and horse racing. In Italy, the most illustrious predecessor was Enrico Albertosi, goalkeeper for the Italian national team in the legendary 4-3 win against West Germany at the 1970 World Cup and who later also distinguished himself as a driver.
