Italy is not taking part in the mixed synchronized duo due to the absence of Giorgio Minisini due to injury, as well as another mixed duo who will be looking for a medal, the one made up of Chiara Pellacani and Matteo Santoro in the 3-metre springboard, already silver at the World Championships in Budapest a year ago, when Matteo, at 15 years and 263 days old, had become the youngest medalist for Italy in the history of diving.
