In between there were three straight wins for Jabeur: 6-3, 6-3 in the round of 16 at Sunrise 2016, 6-3, 7-6 (7/4) in the only previous one on grass, in the second round at Eastbourne 2021 and finally 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the second round of the Stuttgart 2022 tournament.
