The body made up of 20 football big names including coaches and former players: they will propose their ideas, ideas and suggestions which, if approved by the Executive, will translate into draft laws

UEFA has officially created a new body that will take care of discussing football issues by proposing various solutions on football from the calendars to the regulations. It’s about the UEFA Football Board and was approved on Tuesday in Lisbon by the UEFA Executive, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. The body will be directed by Boban. A team which includes 20 coaches and former players (there is a lot of Italian representation), including Jos Mourinho, who will collaborate with Ancelotti, Capello, Maldini, Zanetti, Zidane, Figo, Laudrup, Klinsmann, Voeller, Benitez, Keane, Lahm, Cech, Mata, Koeman, Southgate, Ferdinand, Mijatovic and Martinez: in their curriculum thirty Champions League and over one hundred appearances for the national team. They have played, and won, all the major tournaments.

What will they do right away? They will propose their ideas, ideas and suggestions which, if approved by the board, will translate into draft laws, it will eventually be up to the executive to transform them into norms. The idea came from Boban, European champion with Milan and semi-finalist in France 1998. At his side will be Rosetti, referee of the Euro 2008 final. The twenty wise men will individually and collectively discuss all the major football game, refereeing matters, international fixtures, UEFA tournaments, youth football development, tactics and player health. The Football Board will meet once a year. The first, on Monday 24 April in Nyon, coinciding with the Youth League final. Everyone will be there except Mourinho who is busy with Roma in the postponement of the championship: injury time and handballs are among the top items on the agenda.
