Walter Zenga turns 63. His was a great story. That of a great champion who, born in Milan on April 28, 1960, made it starting from a team in the suburbs, the Macallesi, and doing all the apprenticeship before arriving at the team of the heart, the national team, the triumphs and a popularity that was also discussed. He grew up in viale Ungheria (an enchanted neighbourhood, livable from my point of view, I often go back there because my brother still lives there, he said), always a fan of Inter, he joined the nerazzurri in 1971, at the age of 11. Upon reaching the age of majority, Zenga was loaned to Salernitana in Serie C1. During a match, after conceding two questionable goals (and having previously been slaughtered for a duck against Campobasso), he leaves the field in tears and, despite the incitement of the fans, decides to leave the team.
