Vialli, funerals celebrated: Roberto Mancini and Massimo Mauro carried the coffin – Football

LONDON – In great secrecy, the funeral of Gianluca Vialli was held today in London, in a church in West London. The parents of the deceased Italian footballer and the closest Italian family members were present, such as his mother Maria Teresa and most likely the 92-year-old father Gianfranco. In addition, of course, also to the English family members, including his wife Cathryn White-Cooper and the couple’s daughters, Olivia and Sofia. Some close friends of Vialli also took part, some arriving from Italy.

Among these, the coach of the national team, Roberto Mancini, and the former footballer, commentator and another great friend of Vialli, Massimo Mauro, also landed in London. The two former Italian footballers carried the coffin, together with Vialli’s brothers, Nino, Marco and Maffo. The former footballer of Cremonese, Sampdoria, Juventus and Chelsea, where he lived for many years, disappeared on 6 January.
