Scholarship recipients, selected on the basis of their qualifications and exams, will be welcomed and trained by Aeneasat Casaccia Research Center in RomeAnd Cdca and followed throughout the journey by experts in the sector of the two host realities and of Erion Weee Consortium.

The project “Training for Circularity – Scholarships (Weee edition)” it is part of the communication program “DireFareRaee”approved in recent months by Board of Directors from Erion Weeewhich includes numerous awareness-raising initiatives in the two-year period 2022-2023.

The project is co-coordinated and managed by Cdcaindependent study center editor of the newspaper EconomiaCircolare.com. “The information challenge and the training challenge must go hand in hand – he comments Laura Greco, head of training for the Cdca / EconomiaCircolare.com – for this reason, since the launch of the publishing project, we have worked to support the editorial work with a competence center that could offer training and consultancy services on circularity issues. A non-physical place, which we have called Training for Circularity, in which to acquire and strengthen skills and expertise, essential for stimulating a lasting change in production and consumption systems. This is the sense of the operation, of which the scholarships are the flagship and the first training initiative on the job, with the aim of creating specialized courses of higher education “.

Co-promoter and technical-scientific partner of the initiative is the Sustainability Department of Enea’s production and territorial systemswhich will welcome and train 8 of the fellows selected at the Casaccia research center in Rome. “The closure of cycles in the production chains – he underlines Claudia Brunori, head of the division Efficient use of resources and closure of cycles – requires new professionals with specific knowledge of innovative technologies and methodologies for a more efficient use of resources but also transversal knowledge on the circular economic model and ability to transversal vision on the entire value chain. With this project we intend to train these professionals, starting from the WEEE chain, which will be trained in close connection with the companies in the sector, to respond to specific needs of the production world “.

The scholarships are awarded to young graduates from various disciplinary fields (Chemical, Management and Materials Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Sustainability, Marketing, Communication Sciences, Corporate Communication and Design). The collection of applications kicks off on November 14 and will end at 23.59 del December 14.
