MOUTIERS – The Tour is approaching its conclusion with a very simple stage, from Moûtiers to Bourg-en-Bresse, almost 185 km basically all flat, with just two fourth category mountain grands prix.

The departure will be given to Moutiers. After 45 km a phase with some bumps will start. These are the two mountain grands prix: the Côte de Chambéry-le-Haut (1.6 km at 4.1%) at km 62.1 and the Côte de Boissieu (2.4 km at 4.7%) at km 195.2.

On the other hand, the finish from a planimetric point of view is rather tortuous, with many roundabouts and a ninety-degree bend with less than 2 km to go. After struggling in the mountains, however, the terrain should finally return for the sprinters and for a group sprint: they haven’t been seen for a good 8 days. Philipsen, who has won four, is now certain to bring the green jersey to Paris (323 points against Pedersen’s 186), but he will want to increase his tally and catch up with Kittel and Cavendish, the only ones in the 2000s to win more than four sprint stages in the same Tour.

Departure: 1.35pm
TV and streaming: 2.45pm-6pm Rai2; 12.45-18.00 Eurosport 1 / Eurosport, Discovery+, GCN
