LES GETS – The alpine triptych of the second week closes with another tough stage. It will go by Les Gets to Saint Gervais-Mont Blanc (179 km) with another good portion of mountain grand prix, five, and the uphill finish on the plateau of The Bettex.

The very first km after the start from Les Gets are already uphill, with a ramp up to Cluses which will be covered at a wild pace by those who want to try to break away. After 31 km the real difficulties begin. There is immediately the Col de Fleurie, uncategorised, and after a thousand ups and downs, 75 meters from the start there is the ascent of the Col de la Forclaz de Montmin (7.1 km at 7.3%), first category.

From then on, there will be no rest. The second foreseen will be that of the Col de la Croix Fry (11.3 km at 7%), another first category ascent, preceded by the Col du Marais, uncategorised but still complicated.

4 km descent and new climb towards the classic Col des Aravis (4.4 km at 5.8%), shorter and with less steep slopes. After Megève, at -43 the dive towards Domancy will begin, where the hottest phase of the stage will begin.

You go up first towards the Côte des Aremands (2.7 km at 10.9%), whose Gpm is just under 10 km from the finish: very short descent and final climb, towards Saint-Gervais, which the runners will reach after 7 km at an average gradient of 7.7%, with steps, rather irregular, but with an extremely demanding final stretch. Hard, long stage, perfect for those who want to try to break the bank permanently.

Departure: 1.20pm.
TV and streaming: 2.45pm-6.30pm Rai2; 12.45-18.45 Eurosport 1 / Eurosport, Discovery+, GCN.
