This is the wish of Daniele Mencarelli, writer and poet, Strega Giovani Award in 2020 with the novel Everything asks for salvation (Mondadori). We seek it to reflect on school and to talk about young people: in recent years it has reached about fifty thousand, driven by an increasingly rare hunger for encounter and dialogue. “Covid has increased the distance between people, making us believe it is normal. Being together and meeting: this is normal. Even today many young people wear a mask, which is in effect a disguise, a hiding place from a part of themselves that they are not used to showing “.
