What I learned in 2022: that at Termini station, thirty seconds after the phone has been taken out of your pocket without you realizing you have someone next to you, calling yourself yelling is useless because the phone is not only already switched off, but it is already disassembled, repacked, resold in pieces or it’s in a shop window two streets over, and in the meantime you’ve missed the train as well as having lost everything.
