Professor at «Sannazaro», he is the author of a very popular column on Facebook

from Titti Beneduce

«A professor, evidently not in perfect balance with herself, on Saturday morning with a small box went around the desks saying: come on, my boys, put something in the box that today your teacher has to go to the hairdresser and get dressed because it’s Saturday And the pupils patiently participated in the begging». Anecdotes, curiosities, happy and sad experiences: there is this and much more in the book “If I really loved you – Chronicles of school” published by Zora and written by Claudio Canzanella, long-term teacher today at the “Sannazaro”well known for the column «The professor’s corner» which he keeps on Facebook.

The janitors who sell pens and sweets

Much loved by his pupils, Claudio Canzanella began working very young and not yet graduated in kindergarten: one of the first boys in Naples. He then taught in elementary school, middle school and finally high school: he therefore had a very large collection of memories that merged into the book: «Then there was a caretaker who had a small chicken farm in the school garden and casually and naturally sold fresh eggs to parents and teachers (with a little insistence even some birds!); a pair of clandestine lovers; janitors who sold pens, pencils, sheets, albums or various sweets and drinks: a varied humanity!».
