The Ocean Race: the project to clean up the world from plastic starts from Genoa

The project, inserted in the format All Together Nowhas started in these days and sees the Municipality of Genoa as the driving force of the initiative in collaboration with the BioDesign Foundation, the Coast Guard, the Hydrographic Institute of the Navy, Ett and the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Genoa, in collaboration with Amiu: “an important game team – explains a note – which will culminate on Sunday 18 June in a capillary cleaning day of the entire municipal area, through 9 different interventions to be carried out in the 9 Town Halls of the city in which anyone can participate by wearing the role of the guardian of the future”.

The Custodians Plastic Race – We Clean the Planet is one of the many initiatives linked to sustainability and the protection of the sea which form part of the mission of The Ocean Race, the famous sailing boat tour of the world which accompanies the Grand Finale in Genoa Genova Process, “the ambitious path for the definition of the principles of the Universal Declaration of Ocean Rights”. The draft document will soon be presented at the United Nations in New York, making Genoa a global model for the protection of the marine ecosystem.
