The federal Court of Appeal in the reasons for the sentence on the 15 penalty points makes a special mention of the operation with Marseille Marley Akè-Franco Tongya and the attempt to hide the exchange

A special mention in the face of the unusual amount of documents and interceptions in support of the reasons for the sentence of a 15-point penalty imposed by the Federal Court of Appeal on Juventus goes to the exchange Marley Ake-Franco Tongya. Or rather to the invoice issued byOlympique Marseille with Juventus as the addressee (the address is still Corso Galilei Ferraris, but anyhow, it seems the least of the problems) and with the causal “compensation” of the exchange transaction which is materially corrected in pen by the black and whites and sent back to the French so that they modified.

As can be read in the reasons, the behavior is dictated by the need to avoid “that it could be understood from the outside that the operation was actually a mere exchange and not made up of independent acts”. The exchange of players incidentally allowed Juventus to produce a capital gain of 7.791 million euros as put in the 2021 budget. It is the Juventus managers themselves who expressly say to “avoid highlighting the compensation” because “the nature of the operation should not have emerged from the official documents regarding billing”. A concealment operation which for the Federal Court of Appeal served to prevent the permutation nature of the deal from emerging.
