The case of the sale of Zaniolo abroad is a problem for Italy

Fleeing talent, unattractive teams and the risk of being Europe’s second division. The sale of the midfielder to Galatasary is yet another indicator of a bigger problem in Italian football, which continues to waste money, time and opportunities

It is unlikely that the former Romanist Nicolò Zaniolo will listen to Giorgio Gaber, yet everything was already foreseen, with disheartening regularity: an Arbasinian parable that in the space of three-four years declassifies the “brilliant promises” of our football to “usual assholes”but without the final acknowledgment of being recognized as “venerable masters”.
