After a Tuesday marred by rain the sun is coming to London. And it will stay there at least until Saturday. This will allow organizers to Wimbledon to recover the postponed first round matches and to also stage the second round matches of the upper part. Therefore we will see all 12 Italians still present in the two singles draws on the field.

At 12 it’s the turn of Cocciaretto, Stefanini and Bronzetti

Three will be the first to take the field, at 12: on field n. 5 will be there Elizabeth Cocciaretto (n. 43) who finally, in the match that should have been played on Monday, will face the Colombian Camila Osorio (n. 71), already beaten in a comeback in three sets in the only previous one, in Tampico, Mexico. On field no. 6 instead, it will be a Lucrezia Stefanini (n. 110), coming from the qualifiers, who will face the Estonian Anett Kontaveit, n. 81, who boasts a title (‘s-Hertogenbosch 2017) and a final (Eastbourne 2021) on grass. On field no. 11, however, will make its long-awaited debut Lucia Bronzetti (n. 47), finalist last Sunday in Bad Homburg, who will challenge the Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, n. 133.

At lunchtime there are Giorgi and Errani

An hour later, around 2.45 pm, however, it will be the turn of Sara Errani (n. 79) that, on field n. 7, will attempt a difficult comeback against US Madison Brengle (#114) who is ahead 6-3, 3-0.
