The queen discipline, swimming, makes its debut at the World Championships in Fukuoka. Four medals are awarded on this first day, Italy hopes above all in the men’s 4×100 freestyle. In water polo, Japan-Serbia will be played at 11.30: the winner will face Settebello in the quarterfinals on Tuesday 25 at 10.30.
