Stefano Tacconi is better and is even starting to walk. The former goalkeeper of Juventus and the national team (he was Walter Zenga’s second in Italy ’90) is recovering, and it is his son Andrea who gives the good news. «Dad slowly starts to walk. Unique emotion», he wrote on social media. A communication that Andrea has used ever since his father was hospitalized for an aneurysm. The former Juventus player has been followed since 23 April by the doctors of the Alessandria hospital where he too underwent surgery. In July it was Tacconi himself who recounted what had happened to him: «I have won everything in my career, but this is the most important cup. I remember almost nothing. I understood that I was very ill, but now it’s much better », his words in an interview with Secolo XIX. After what happened on April 23, he was hospitalized for two months in the Alessandria hospital, with an operation on June 6, to then be followed up by the Borsalino rehabilitation center in the Piedmontese capital.

Little by little, the former goalkeeper is recovering. With his family always by his side. From the first day: “Take back Papi, you are a lion, you will also win this battle”, wrote his son Andrea on April 23 last, with an emoticon with his hands folded. And as soon as his dad got better he wrote him a letter for his birthday. Tacconi is a flag of Juventus fans, being among other things the holder of a record. He is, in fact, the only goalkeeper who has managed to win all the UEFA competitions with the black and whites: the Champions’ Cup at Heysel with Liverpool in 1985, the Cup Winners’ Cup in Basel against Porto in 1984, the UEFA Cup in 1990 in the double final with Fiorentina.
