A special issue of 64 pages, with a dense focus on the guests and themes of the Turin Book Fair 2023, the last one under the artistic direction of Nicola Lagioia, which will take place from Thursday 18 to Sunday 22 May. The new issue of la Lettura, #598, on Saturday 13 May on the App and Sunday 14 on the newsstand, opens with two protagonists of the review, the Nobel Wole Soyinkainterviewed by Cristina Taglietti, and the Albanian premier Ed Rama expected at the inauguration of the Salone with the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano (Albania the host country), interviewed by Francesco Battistini.

The first 37 pages of the supplement offer dialogues and interviews: such as the conversation between two of the five candidates for the European Strega Andrei KurkovUkrainian, and Burhan Snmez, Kurdish from Türkiye, curated by Alessia Rastelli; also the interview with the Brittany Lisa Jewellby Patrizia Violi, and that of Giovanni Agosti, who edited the Meridiano Mondadori dedicated to John Testori (he talks about it to Paolo Di Stefano).

The special continues by proposing reviews, other interviews, stories and a selection of events at the Salone.
